Standards Organizations
In early 2001,
iVivity led the industry in developing the Virtualization Acceleration
API (VAAPI) initiative, which for the first time proposed a way
for independent software vendors (ISVs) to take advantage of intelligence
in the storage infrastructure at wire speed performance. This initiative
received significant mind share with OEMs and ISVs and has contributed
to the development of programs like the Veritas Powered program
and the T11.5 Storage Management Workgroup's Fabric Application
Interface Standard (FAIS) effort.
With the development
of the software emulator and the FPGA platform, iVivity has been
able to engage OEMs in product dialogue at an early stage. It has
successfully leveraged its technology leadership position into a
series of formal and informal alliances with major silicon vendors
in the storage and networking space as well as ISVs.
iVivity is recognized
in the industry as an innovator and is a frequent contributor to
standards bodies like IETF and T.11 as well as a speaker at public
forums and conferences
