iVivity's iDiSX Storage Network Processor Selected by Huawei-3Com for Multiple Storage Products

ATLANTA, July 10, 2006 - Poised to capitalize on the explosive growth projected for the storage market in China, Huawei-3Com (H3C) and iVivity(r), announce a multi-year partnership to integrate iVivity's iDiSX(r) Storage Network processors (SNP) into its next generation storage and networking product lines.
"In addition to its outstanding 10Gbps performance metrics, iVivity's iDiSX programmable storage processor is accessible using industry standard tools and can be leveraged across a broad spectrum of products," said Mr. Furong Yu, Director of Storage Product of Huawei-3Com. "The scalability, application programmability and ease of deployment across multiple product lines were key factors in our selection of iVivity as a partner. iVivity's core value proposition in performance and programmability will be exploited to its fullest in this partnership."

"We believe China's rapid growth will be complemented by accelerating productivity gains in the coming years," said Tom Curlin, Managing Director, RBC Capital Markets. "Information technology will play a critical role in this process, with networked storage providing the foundation for optimal IT investments. Huawei-3Com appears well positioned to leverage these trends through visionary partnerships with technology innovators. In this context, the selection of iVivity's iDiSX SNP architecture represents a strong vote of confidence and a likely precursor for further customer momentum."

In its analysis and forecast of the China external disk storage market for 2005-2009, IDC predicts that storage revenues in China will continue to see double digit growth. Storage area networks (SAN) are already mainstream and are predicted to replace the majority of the direct-attached storage market in the next five years. The largest market for storage products and services is the telecommunications industry.

"The iDiSX architecture is ideal for H3C's goal of introducing a complete family of storage products," said Zulfiqar Qazilbash, Chief Strategy Officer of iVivity. "We are pleased that H3C has seen the clear benefits of combining their networking expertise in product development and deployment with iVivity's leadership in technology for storage networking products."
