Press Release Nov 15, 2006 iVivity files over 50 Patent Applications for Storage I/O Acceleration and Management ATLANTA, Nov 15, 2006 - iVivity®, the leading provider of storage networking silicon and custom board solutions has been awarded an initial three patents in the area of I/O management, storage networking and data protection. The three patents are part of an overall portfolio of over 50 patent applications for its intelligent iDiSX® architecture. The iVivity patent portfolio spans a wide spectrum of next generation storage I/O handling system capabilities. The patents cover protocol and application acceleration for all packet sizes, increased fault tolerance, network intelligence, I/O intelligence, split path I/O processing, multi-protocol processing, APIs and software infrastructures to house third party and OEM applications in the data path. The technological innovations protected by these patents enable iVivity based products to achieve full duplex 10Gbps line rate application performance today and meet or exceed OEM requirements for next generation storage and networking systems.
