iVivity has the only proven hardware-based state machine in the market today that can handle multiple protocols
simultaneously including TCP, UDP, iSCSI and file and
block data as well. This hardware-based state machine
is incorporated in a multi-core CPU design. The resulting
chip, the iDiSX 2000, has been shipping since 2004 and can demonstrate a total throughput of 40 Gbps regardless
of packet size with latencies in the sub 1µs for handling of TCP and less than 5µs for iSCSI.
